MARY NORMA JEAN AUBUCHON
Mrs. Mary Norma Jean Aubuchon, known as Norma, succumbed to complications brought on by cancer at 2:30 a.m., November 7, 2003. She passed in her Bucyrus, KS home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held at Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa, 10113 Lenexa Dr., 5-9 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2003, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary-Wea, 22779 Metcalf Ave., Bucyrus, KS at 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2003, where she will be laid to rest. Norma was born February 11, 1933, in Wilhelmenia, MO. As the daughter of John Lawrence and Charlesetta Catherine Polys (nee Mattingly), she was the fifth of 12 children. She had seven brothers: Gene, Marion, Joe, Earl, David, Dan and Dennis Polys and four sisters: Lu Harms, Betty Cagle, Pat Kasten and Marge Polys. Of her siblings only Gene and Betty preceded her departure.
Five days short of her 21st birthday, Norma married Joseph Walter Aubuchon, February 6, 1954. They were married for 40 years before Joseph passed away, July 14, 1994. She leaves six children and their spouses, Joe and Judy Aubuchon, Patty and Dave Morrow, Tim and Lori Aubuchon, Rick and Marianne Aubuchon, Ken and Deb Aubuchon and Tom Aubuchon. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and their spouses, Joe and Julia Aubuchon, Jen and Wayne Burbach, Jason and Brandie Morrow, Chris, Aaron and Adam Morrow and Heather, Kelly, Alex, Christopher, Eric, Daniel, Tommy and Kimberly Aubuchon; and greatgranddaughter, McKenzie Aubuchon.

Norma had a very caring, loving heart and she lived a happy, fulfilling life. According to her, all she ever wanted to be was a wife and mother. Her 28-year career at the IRS, beginning as a temporary and retiring as a Deputy Branch Chief in 1996, "was just an accident." In addition to raising her own six children, she sponsored a six-year old foster child named Sandra Yaquelin Porpillo Vasquez in Honduras. She was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Wea, Bucyrus, KS. She traveled frequently to visit family and friends around the world.
Norma is loved and will be missed.
