Neighbors to the north of the Dorlac family were the family of Pierre Aubuchon Sr., who married Marie Bourbonnais.  They had six children and their son Pierre Jr., acquired the property after his father's death in 1771.  He married Charlotte LaLande and they evidently had only one child, Pierre, in 1763.

A 1752 Kaskaskia IL census indicated that Antoine Aubuchon (spelled Obichon) was the second head-of-family of the André Deguire household.

Aubuchon's wife Elizabeth was the daughter of Deguire's wife Elizabeth by her first husband.  Thus the Aubuchons fell within the extended family of André Deguire and probably considered Deguire their patron and protector.  Aubuchon had only his wife, one pre-pubescent daughter, and an indentured servant to make up his household, and he held three arpents of land.  Like the Deguires, the Aubuchons remained one of the foremost families of Ste. Genevieve throughout the colonial period.

The French government granted long narrow strips of land in "LeGrande Champ" (which means Big Field and the name before Ste. Genevieve) to the early settlers.  These strips of land were from one to two arpents wide and measured 2/3 of an acre.

The first belong to Julien Labruyere, a son of Louis Ratte Labruyere, one of the first settlers.  Other owners were Nicloas LaPlante, Jean Baptiste Pratte, Bazile Maisplait, Louis LeClere, Joseph Bogy, Nicolas Roussin, Antoine Aubuchon, Hypolite Robert and Vital Beauvais.
