Catherine-Gertude was the third child of Noël dit LaMontagne Jérémie and Jeanne Pelletier.

Marie Louise was the ninth of 11 children of Pierre dit LaJeunesse Dandonneau and Francoise Jobin.
Marie-Catherine was the third of nine children of Jean dit Preville Rivard and Genevieve Trottier. All of the children were baptized in Batiscan, Quebec, Canada.

Joseph, the third child of 15, married Elisabeth Cusson in Montreal in 1688. Three of their sons Joseph, Pierre and Antoine came to Kaskaskia about 1720. Joseph married Marie Paniscenes an Indian of the Kaskaskia tribe. Pierre married Marie Brunet Bourbonaise and were the parents of Augustine. Antoine married Elisabeth Delaunnaise and their descendants also still live in the Ste. Genevieve area.

The Ancestors of the Aubuchon family came from Normandy, France to Canada in 1644. A branch of the family settled in Kaskaskia during the French regime.

A house built by Francois Dielle for Joseph Brazeau, merchant, in Kaskaskia in 1739 was of four posts without foudations, twenty-five by twenty feet with four windows and two doors. Brazeau furnished the wood and paid Diel 400 livres in flour and silver. At the same time, Jean Baptiste Aubuchon contracted to build a house for Etienne Gaudreau of the same description for 300 livres plus food for Aubuchon and his helpers, and provided he supplied the harness necessary to haul the wood.
